Video: Mexican Drug Cartel Puts $1M Price on Arizona Sheriff's Head
Arpaio, however, doesn't answer to the government.
"I'm not going to bend to the federal government, I'm going to do my job," he said. "I don't report to the federal government, I report to the people."
Arpaio says Obama and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano are off the mark when it comes to illegal immigration reform.
"Why doesn't he (Obama) say, ‘Let's get rid of all the illegals taking these jobs, so our citizens can have the jobs.' Why are they saying that we should only arrest the employer and not the employees that are here illegally? Now, if I met with the president, I would ask him that question," Arpaio said.
Illegals don't much like Arpaio, particularly those smuggling drugs into the country. Supposedly, there is a $1M price on Arpaio and another $1-10,000 for other white American law enforcement.
