"And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift of God?" -- Thomas Jefferson
"And yet the same revolutionary belief for which our forbears fought is still at issue around the globe, the belief that the rights of man come not from generosity of the state but from the hand of God." -- John F. Kennedy
"Because of their belief that power had come from God to each individual, the Framers began the Constitution with the words 'we the people'" -- Newt Gingrich
"There's never been a nation like the United States, ever. It begins with the principles of our founding documents, principles that recognize that our rights come from God, not from our government." -- Marco Rubio

Many Americans Think Obama is a Muslim
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, you tell us in Matthew 7:16 that we can identify false believers by their fruit, and we are grateful for the recent polls that show that 46% of the GOP and 20% of Americans believe President Obama is a Muslim, as CHAPS has been saying for months. Even though the White House now claims he is a Christian because “he prays daily,” which muslims also do, Obama refused to celebrate the National Day of Prayer, but repeatedly endorsed the false religion of Islam. Open the eyes of more Americans, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Obama insists he's a Christian; and at first, we accepted that. Then, in time, we got suspicious. Why?
Because time showed an ongoing pattern. He acts more sympathetically to the concerns of the Islam faith than to Christianity. He seems to adore and admire anything that's Islam, yet dismisses or stumbles over things that pertain to what he calls his own faith, such as:
--Reverend Wright, his Christian mentor who used to be a muslim, became dispensable when he proved to be more a liability than asset.
--His mocking of the Bible.
--In an unguarded moment, Obama is quoted as saying in the New York Times that the Arabic call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.” Then he recited it with a 'first-rate accent.'
“Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet… “
--His bow to a Muslim monarch is suspect.
--The disgraceful way he treated Bibi Netanyahu versus the way he welcomes other leaders.
--His speaking out for the 'right' of muslims to build a mosque at Ground Zero.
--His insensitivity to the victims of the Ft. Hood shooting.
--His instructions to NASA to reach out to muslim countries to make them proud. This is even though their mathematical or scientific accomplishments since centuries ago have been downhill.
--His tired statement of campaigning in 57 (Islamic) states.
--His other tired verbal slip-up of reference to 'his muslim faith.'
--His parentage and his ancestry are decidedly muslim, not to mention that the birth certificate controversy hasn't died down.
Confusing, and now polls show that more Americans have become unsure about just what religion he really is. (Click here for 'Nearly one in five says Obama is a Muslim.')
Kirsten Powers explains the poll numbers are just because of Republicans who don't like Obama and infers that Americans are taking Rush Limbaugh too seriously when he refers to Obama as Imam Hussein Obama. (For the record, Rush hasn't been using his middle name.)
"The reason for that is that you have people like Rush Limbaugh referring to him as Imam Hussein Obama." "It’s the conservative media who have partnered up with conservative Christians who have started this."
While the White House scrambles to prove Obama is a Christian, I have to wonder what difference does it make as long as he adheres to the Constitution. Or does he?
See: So what if Obama is a muslim?
Comment from reader: If Obama didn't do so many confusing things, which the internet, etc., has reported accurately, then we would not be so confused as to what his religion is. Whether he's Christian or Islamic doesn't matter at this point because, either way, he's shown he doesn't hold our Constitution in high esteem.
