WND drops Ann Coulter for upcoming conference

WorldNetDaily, "A Free Press For A Free People," has dropped Ann Coulter as a keynote speaker for their upcoming "Taking America Back" national conference.

Their reason for giving her the boot is because she has decided to speak at HOMOCON 2010, an event sponsored by the homosexual Republican group GOProud.

Considering derogatory comments Ann has made about John Edwards being a 'faggot' and her joking about Al Gore as a “total fag,” as well as claiming that 'heterosexual-only proms aren’t civil rights violations' in regard to 'irritating lesbian' Constance McMillen, one probably wouldn't expect to see Ann Coulter at a gay event.

In fact, one might pause to wonder why the gay organization would invite a flamboyant anti-gay marriage conservative like Ann in the first place. But, then again, identifying both as gay and conservative is also rather unusual.

Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, said he believes the group is exploiting its coup in getting Ann, that it is "a camel trying to get its nose under the tent of a movement it perceives as a threat to the radical homosexual agenda..."

On the WND site, Farah gives a long explanation as to whom GOProud is and what they are trying to do.

As a conservative icon, Coulter's speaking at HOMOCON, according to Farah, is further aiding GOProud's ongoing infiltration of the conservative political arena with "twisted and dangerous ideas way out of the mainstream," as he asks, "Have conservatives learned nothing about insidious attempts to subvert movements for self-government, the rule of law and the will of the people from within?"
