The Awakening 2011 Coming This April

The Freedom Federation is an alliance of multiracial, multiethnic and multigenerational faith-based and policy organizations and leaders committed to plan, strategize, and mobilize across racial, ethnic, gender, and generational lines to advance shared core values to preserve freedom and promote justice.

Lynchburg, VA - Liberty Counsel is joining the organizations that comprise the Freedom Federation for The Awakening 2011: Raising our Voices, Equipping and Empowering a New Revolution. Featuring political and public policy leaders and organizations, The Awakening 2011 will kick off on April 8 at 10 a.m. with Lila Rose, the president of LiveAction, who made national headlines for recent undercover videos in Planned Parenthood offices. Newt Gingrich, among other prominent figures, will be speaking at this year's event. The Awakening 2011 will continue through Saturday, April 9, and conclude with a Revolution Celebration that will include inspirational speakers and the band SonicFlood.


The Awakening 2011 will be held on the campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. The event is free and open to the media and the public, but tickets are required. The breakout sessions will include hot topics like defining conservatism, social justice, marriage and family, the Middle East, Sharia Law, the economy, national defense, the Latino and Black communities and values, the Millennial generation, mobilizing and empowering youth, using new media and technology to organize and message, and more.


Faith-based and politically conservative organizations and individuals are encouraged to join the Freedom Federation by creating a personal account on the website.
