New website informs reader of why girls and families are leaving the Girl Scouts

Teenage sisters reveal the disturbing curricula and connections of
Girl Scouts of the USA

 — Houston sisters Sydney and Tess Volanski have left their beloved Girl Scout Troop after 8 years of involvement. They share their reasons in a website called Speak Now:girl scouts  which includes evidence of the connections between Girl Scouts USA and Planned Parenthood.

Their exit from the Girl Scouts was not due to the typical reason of being too busy or a loss of interest but rather due to their discovery of partnerships, objectionable girl curricula, and activities of the Girl Scouts that were in direct opposition to the girls’ faith walk.

Journey of discovery began in March 2010
As a result of the information they researched, Tess and Sydney felt it imperative to share their knowledge with others.  In February 2011, they launched an email campaign to inform the leadership of their Church throughout the nation.

Receiving responses that range from grave concern to ambivalence, the girls continued their research and created a website to serve as a repository for families and other girls to visit in order to learn more about the changes in this once venerable institution.

Utilizing the Girl Scouts’ theme of "Discover, Connect, and Take Action," Tess and Sydney hope that their site will open the door to discovery for girls and families alike.

The Volanski sisters state
“It was a very difficult experience to discover that we had unknowingly been promoting and supporting a group that stands for the opposite of the beliefs we hold deeply in our hearts. We want to do everything we can to prevent this heartbreak for other girls and their families.”
