Send to your two senators and to your district representative.
As your constituent, I am writing to ask you to support H.R. 2682 and S. 1292, the "Defund Obamacare Act of 2013," which would deauthorize future appropriations and rescind prior appropriations that would implement any provision under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation act of 2010.
The Obama Administration's recent announcement to delay the onerous and unpopular employer mandate until after the 2014 election, coupled with its announcement to delay income and health status eligibility requirements in favor of an honor system for the most expensive entitlement for our generation, confirms what has been obvious from the start -- this law is a colossal mistake.
By delaying Obamacare for businesses, the Administration has finally admitted that their unprecedented expansion of government is too complicated, has too many regulations and will cost too many jobs. We must seize the moment and permanently delay the entire law.
Congress can do this; YOU control the purse strings and can protect taxpayers from funding Obamacare. Businesses have their delay and the special interests have their waivers. Don't leave working families or anyone else on the tracks for this train wreck.
The damage that Obamacare does to our economy and job creation is clear and irrefutable. It imposes a $1 TRILLION tax hike and 127 MILLION hours of regulatory compliance -- a real gut punch to those trying to recover from the last several years of economic hardship.
Please, do the RIGHT thing, and support H.R. 2682 and S. 1292, the "Defund Obamacare Act of 2013". I will be watching your actions on this matter closely. Thank you.
"And I'm convinced there's a new paradigm in politics that actually has Washington very uncomfortable. It has politicians in both parties very uncomfortable. And that new paradigm is the rise of the grassroots, the ability of grassroots activists to demand of their elected officials they do the right thing."And I believe if we see a grassroots tsunami, that is going to cause Republicans and Democrats to listen to the people."
